Nascar!

Today Aaron and I went to Nascar Busch Series at California Speedway in Fontana. Our opportunity to go to the race for free was rare, and I must thank USPS and Aaron for the invitation. We had so much fun at the race. First we were invited to the garage area where the trailer trucks were. The trailer for the USPS sponsored team was awesome. They had a comfortable cozy lounge with a wide screen plasma TV. They also gave us a gift bag that contained Kleenex and Scott tissue for our cars, nose, mouth and butt. After the trailer tour, we went outside to see the garages and race cars. I still can't tell the difference between a Busch car and a Nascar car, but apparently they are different. Then we went to the track to see our cars. #27 and #37 were USPS sponsored cars. It was strange, because we didn't see #27 for the entire time until the very end of the race. Slacker! However we did get the opportunity to take pictures with #37. Then we saw Dale Earnhardt, Jr. on the track. He was surrounded by cameramen. Who is he again? I thought it was cute how they picked up the drivers in Chevy trucks and drove them around the stadium. 40 identical Chevy trucks only differed by color lining up was quite a sight. After the drivers situated themselves in their cars, the race finally began. We stayed with our pit crew Yard-Men. They changed tires and fueled the car in 20 seconds every time. That was amazing. Why can't I get mechanics like that? The race was 300 miles long with 150 laps, There were a few accidents during the race and someone got hurt unfornately. Our cars didn't win, but it was my first Nascar experience. So I did win something today, other than the Kleenex.
