Japanese puzzle boxes

Japanese puzzle boxes are fascinating. I've been looking at them on the Internet and they totally intrigued me. These boxes are not only a creation of puzzle masterminds but also a masterpiece of wood craft and carpentry. Their delicacy and precision exceed those made by machines. The most astounding box I've seen is the contemporary 119-step puzzle box illustrated below. I wonder if anyone can ever figure out the solution without cheating. Just imagine how many gliders there are in the box, and then you find the combination of that number to get all possible moves. That would take someone years to solve a box like that!
